Our Story
I first became interested in Locksmithing at 8 years old when I saw an ad for a Foley-Belsaw correspondence course on the back of a matchbook … yes, that long ago! In the meantime, I spent about 20 years as an auto tech at various dealers with the specialty of diagnostics and “tough cases”. Fast forward a bunch of years and I found myself employed at a State University and became friends with the locksmith; the next year I completed the Foley-Belsay course. I was a very non-specialized locksmith, working my small business on the side and doing re-keys, NSP jobs and whatever came along. During this, I spent most of my time taking free manufacturers classes through Yankee, Assa-Abloy, Schlage, etc. getting a very firm locksmith foundation.
About eight years ago I noticed that there were no automotive locksmiths even close to my area, so I started to dabble in the specialty; I started out with VATS and keys that didn’t need a programmer to complete, and worked my way up with programmers and high-security capabilities. At this time I still enjoy a good diagnostic challenge and I am specializing in VW, Audi, and BMW.
